Installation Report: Alloy Wheel Locks & Valve Stem Caps
Project Description
My 2007 Tundra Limited came with the 20" alloy factory wheel upgrade.
These wheels aren't exactly pure gold but they aren't cheap either at roughly
$500 each including the TPMS
sensor. Any clown with a speed wrench and some cinder blocks can make off
with all of your tires in less than 20 minutes and your factory alarm won't even
whimper. Of course there are many decent wheel locks on the market and I definitely had to get
a set since I often park in out-of-the-way places or dark areas for long periods of
time. While I was installing the wheel locks I figured I might as well add
a set of aluminum valve stem caps to replace the cheap gray plastic caps which
came from the factory.
